Catching a Breeze in a Jar

Like catching a sweet breeze in a jar...
The words seem to come from afar
If I'm not ready at the breeze's sigh,
It will be too late, it will just go by.

It makes me sad when I see it go,
I should be more prepared, I know-
I should always keep a jar by my side
Before it's again blown out with the tide.

I reallly like this and captures a few of my thoughts. Fleeting inspiration

An old bushman saying
"A story, like the wind, comes from a far off place and we feel it"

This has always captured my imagination.

When I wrote this, I had what seemed like a great poem in my head as I was falling asleep for the night, and having lost the pen in my room, I fired this up to write it down, and it was gone by the time I started.
